Masks - Masks have universal presence and meaning.  These masks are caricatures of the human spirit.  They can also be kiln gods.

Kiln gods - Sometimes during a firing strange things go on inside the kiln.  A kiln god makes sure evil doesn't enter.  In lieu of a kiln god, you can put in some evil-go.
